Baby boom in Iberá! Through satellite monitoring, our team noticed that the free jaguar Mariua moved less than usual. The site where she was staying was difficult to access; however, as soon as she began moving again, our team reached the area and placed camera traps to see what was happening. The footage later revealed Mariua and two newborns! With these births, 12 jaguars live free in the vast wetlands of Iberá.
