We can closely follow two pairs of maned wolves thanks to our monitoring of wildlife with satellite technology. The pair Malevo and Preta had five puppies almost two months ago. During this period of parenting, the female moved the pups a few meters every three or four days to avoid predators. Many other questions about the maned wolf, which lost more than 50% of its range in Argentina, remain unanswered. Learning about this species is vital to designing conservation strategies based on rigorous data.
