As Peace Parks colleagues and a group from DOB Ecology finalise their trip in Simalaha Community Conservancy, they follow one of Africa’s greatest rivers, the Zambezi until a curtain of fine mist can be seen, giving meaning to its local name of ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’, which means ‘The Smoke That Thunders’. This incredible natural wonder is nestled within the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, which Peace Parks has been actively supporting since 2004.
