The Simalaha Community Conservancy’s Cookstove Programme has officially been registered and accredited by the Gold Standard. Gold Standard both quantifies and maximises the impact of climate and development activities. Their stamp of approval signifies ecological integrity of the cookstoves programme – an initiative that holds the promise of new income streams whilst benefiting local wildlife, forests and communities.
